So much to do

Joy's bears and favorite things on her bed
Joy’s bed with her favorite things is a reminder of her…. and also a reminder of what I need to do.
- Thank you notes need to be written.
- CD’s of Joy’s memorial service need to be sent.
- Notifications need to be sent to some who haven’t heard the news about Joy’s homegoing.
- And many more things.
Pray especially for me (Ruth) as I try to get done what needs to be done.
Our precious Joy is with the Lord
Joy Elizabeth Brendle went to be with the Lord on August 8, 2010. She was at home with her family, and peacefully passed into the presence of the Lord at 8:20 in the morning.
A memorial service was held at NTM’s chapel in Sanford, Florida, on August 12. We thought of how Joy’s life touched so many and we rejoiced at the wondrous freedom she has now that she is no longer limited by her fragile body.
Pray for us as we adjust to life without Joy. Her passing has left a great hole in our lives.

Running the Race

I was so impressed with the dedication of those athletes.

Creation declares the glory of God

I was struck by the light streaming through the poinsettia. The vivid colors and the way light works reminded me of Romans 1:20, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead.”
Welcome Center Set to Reopen
In 2007, Dave helped design a Welcome Center for NTM’s USA Headquarters. In succeeding years, the Welcome Center had to be used for, among other things, a storage room. But soon, it will be a Welcome Center again.

Family togetherness
All our kids and grandkids were together with us in late January. John and Lisa and Tom and Danielle live close to us, and we get together frequently. But Ben and Gina live in Missouri, so we were delighted when they came for two weeks.
