When I went to the Philippines it wasn’t for the purpose of going on a mission’s trip. I went to the Philippines to visit a missionary family that I had known there. My parents went through missionary training with them and so I’ve known them pretty much my entire life.
While I was in the Philippines I was able to go to a wedding, the beach and to an annual conference for missionaries. I think my favorite part of the trip was going to the beach with the Bamfords. We were able to spend so much time telling memories, playing games and just having fun.
I moved away from the Philippines nine years ago, but it still is home more than anywhere else to me. Since the Bamfords lived near us when we lived in the Philippines I played with the kids all the time.
We had so many wonderful memories of climbing trees, jumping on the trampoline and just being kids. It’s amazing when you get to sit down and tell memories with people from when you were kids. There is just something so exciting about childhood memories. I had such a wonderful childhood in the Philippines and I know that I will never forget it.
I’m so glad that I was able to go back and relive some wonderful memories with one of the most amazing families I’ve ever known.
