I see Micah....

Micah has been in school, along with Fassou, for two weeks now.  They attend a private, “Catholic” school about a 10 minute drive from home.  

We were told that Catholics schools are among some of the best schools in the country and we found that this school fits within our budget.  So, we enrolled the boys.  There are two first grades and both have about 40 kids each (poor teacher!).  

It appears that their curriculum is about 2 years behind where Micah is currently homeschooling (with me in the afternoons).  The academic level however isn’t much of a concern.  

We sent Micah to school for two reasons:  to learn French and to interact with the kids (which he desperately needs!)  I just hope his boredom doesn’t lead to misbehavior!!  Let’s just say the system of discipline here is not what we’re used to in the US. HA!

Pray for Fassou, the 17 year old we brought up from Guinea to live with us so that he could get into a good school, make good grades, and hopefully get into a good college, securing him a good job down the road.  We would love to see Fassou flourish and become the engineer he desires to be in the future.
