With only months until the big move, our time management and organizational skills are in great demand. We find ourselves making the most of every moment to spend time with loved ones and taking every opportunity to share our ministry in Mexico with those churches and individuals who have a heart for missions.
Prayer is a vital part of our preparation to equip us spiritually, emotionally, and physically for the work God has in store for us and to be able to fully embrace the people and culture of Mexico. If you wonder sometimes how to pray for us, we find it uplifting to pray Colossians 4:2-6 in regard to this mission work. (a portion of this says: "praying also for us, that God would open us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ…let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.")
We praise God for sending partners to join us in this missionary journey. We currently have around 40% of the recommended support for living in Mexico. We look forward with eager anticipation on how God will orchestrate His beautiful ballad of financial provision.
The near future holds lots of paperwork, presentations, and packing for us. Attention to detail is required as we continue to advance toward the goal of a late December departure date.
A verse that has encouraged our hearts greatly:
"Whom have I in heaven but thee and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth; but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever…It is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all they works." Psalm 73:25-28
