King for the Day

PR's 31st

PR's 31st

As a family tradition, on our birthdays, we become “king/queen for the day” and spend the whole day doing what we want and making the decisions for when and where we celebrate. March 8 was PR’s time to be “king for the day.”

We thank the Lord for this time with him and for the wonderful day we spent together. PR’s kingly decisions? To work on his motorbike with a friend (he has the bike running again), then lunch and a movie and browsing around a bookstore with us. The day was marked by laughter and fun memories. Oh how we praise the Lord for that! We know as a young single man, he might have made many decisions to spend “his” day that wouldn’t include us for the major part of a day and evening so we do not take for granted the amazing gift of time we were given.

He is preparing to go back to NC today so it will feel much lonelier tonight after having Brent and Tonia and the girls leaving Sunday afternoon and PR heading out after lunch. We cherish these times more than we can express.  We have full hearts these days…
