The healing process is at a standstill and will require a third surgery. His scar tissue has actually grown attached to the tendon and will not allow it to slide normally which restricts the movement almost completely. I say almost because there is some stretching that allows for a tiny bit more than before, but it is not enough to function.
Sadly, it still just sticks out. This has caused some problems as you can imagine what it might be like if you couldn’t curl your fingers. Gripping something is difficult, and the finger gets in the way when Chris works, bumping and jamming it often. It is also still quite painful, which might come from the all the bumping and jamming…
We will be in the big city during this month for meetings so it enables us to go back to his surgeon for a consultation and appointment for his third surgery. We certainly appreciate your prayers and so many asking about how it is going. We are very encouraged to know that many are lifting our family in prayer. God is faithful and wastes nothing so we are also encouraged by that truth!
