july-2006-michigan-360One of Bill’s projects right now is rewiring the maintenance office with its new renovations.  His grandma is doing well in the nursing home on Mellonville and it has been so helpful to our family having her where she can get 24 hour care.  I stepped back from working in the maintenance office.

Tets results

Jonathan – tests results came back CLEAR!! When they removed the mole, they had gotten all the bad cells. Our hearts were so excited hearing this! We do have to take him back every three months for the first year to keep an eye on the other moles that he has. Thank you for praying!

We heard the results last Tuesday (sorry this is late!) and were excited to have all test and results behind us with all that Emily and Jonathan have had going on. We were finally looking ahead to all the end of school and church activities along with getting ready for Mexico. Then……Wednesday night Emily broke her pinky on her right (writing) hand playing basketball with the older youth group gang. So, Thursday we are off to the doctor (God was ahead in this as she already had one scheduled), Friday it’s x-rays and results. At 5:00 pm they call to say that it is definitely broken and also part of the growth plate so now we have to see a pediatric orthopedic surgeon to see if she needs surgery! It was a long weekend as we had to wait until Monday to make the appointment. Again God was at work and allowed us to get in Monday afternoon and she did NOT need surgery. Again our hearts were rejoicing. So she has a beautiful blue cast half way up her arm which will come off the day before we leave for Mexico

Thanks for praying!!!Emily’s x-rays came back fine. We ask the doctor why they were concerned with the first set and she said that if you are not familiar with reading children’s x-rays versus adult x-rays, it looks suspicious. Since children are growing they have more space in there so they have room to grow.

Jonathan – Thank you for praying for Jonathan this morning! He was doing well until he sat in the chair for the procedure. I told him to quote his verse for the nurse to help his mind. He did it so well and then crossed his legs! He did not want the shot. It didn’t take too long and they were able to give him the shot, but it hurt!!! He screamed (in my ear) for close to 20 seconds. It seemed like forever. He is screaming and as I am holding him closely trying to calm him, I am crying (imagine that!!) I kept repeating verses and all to try and calm him, but nothing worked as it HURT! It took a while to settle down after the shot and then the doctor came in to do the procedure. She did one little section and he didn’t feel that, but then the next spot he told them it hurt so they said we will numb it a little more. So, here we ago again. Mom is still holding tightly and Jonathan kept yelling “NO!” They kept doing their thing and he ended up with 7 stitches and an emotional momma! As you can tell, I don’t do too well with these things when it comes to my babies.

They bandaged him up and off to Dunkin Donuts we went for a good double chocolate donut with chocolate milk!! Now he gets to enjoy time with mom today at home. I don’t know if he needs it or I need it!  He is doing fine.

The doctor told us to come back in 2 weeks to take the stitches out and to get the results. I asked if we could call sooner for the results and she said they probably would not have them before and were hoping to even have them back at the time of the appt. Ok, that is not what we were wanting to hear! Please pray for us as we have another 2 weeks to wait for the results. 

This verse was sent to me this morning –

Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about
you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
surely I will help you.
Surely I will uphold you
with My righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

What a joy to know that we do not have to fear as the Lord will strengthen us, help us and uphold us.  Thank you for caring for our family and praying for us.
