Bart and Emily Allen Tribal Church Planters in Papua New Guinea Family
Bart grew up as a missionary kid in Bangladesh. Emily grew up as a farm girl in Pennsylvania. Luke was born in Ohio, Titus in Michigan and Caleb in Pennsylvania. Together as a family we are excited about serving the Lord in Papua New Guinea!
We both graduated from Cedarville University in Ohio. After getting married in 1999, Bart served as a youth pastor for several years. We knew we wanted to be involved in missions but didn’t know what steps to take.
The Lord led us to New Tribes Bible Institute in August of 2003. We just wanted to get some good Bible training, but the Lord had some additional plans! While at Bible school, we were made aware of the huge need for tribal missions. About 2,500 language groups around the world have no Scriptures in their language! Not even one verse! They have no way of hearing the Truth of God’s Word unless someone goes and tells them. Throughout our two years of in-depth Bible study, we became more and more convinced that the Lord could use us to reach some of these people. We then completed an additional 2 ½ years of missions training with New Tribes and arrived in PNG in December 2009.
We have been blessed with three special boys. Luke was born in August 2002 and Titus in March 2005. They love to play outside, sing songs, read books and build Lego creations. Caleb joined our family in January 2011. It is so neat for us to watch all of them learn and grow. Please pray that they will clearly see Christ as we follow Him.
