God is establishing His Church among the Awa tribal people of Ecuador. We are privileged to be a part of what He is doing.
Presently, our assignment is studying the Awa culture and language and building friendships. There are many opportunities to rub shoulders with our Awa neighbors, and serve them, all the while learning more each day, to some day be able to teach them God’s Word in their own language.
We join a team of missionaries who have been working with the Awa for over 10 years. One couple is Doug and Dorcas Williams. The other is Kevin and Kathy Bruce. Kathy happens to be Chrissy’s sister. We are excited to be able to work with family, a special privilege.
The Awa are a private people, living on small farms in the Andes Mountains. There are a few young believers and a small church is beginning.
Pray as we live every day for the Lord, giving our time and attention to language and culture learning, showing the Awa people a glimpse of His Life with our lives.
