Serving with New Tribes Mission in Mexico

About

God has recently redirected me to Mexico, through several different things.  One big thing was that He provided a coworker for me.  She is a good friend of mine.  We just heard (before a whirlwind trip to Western Oregon) that we were accepted to serve on the field of Mexico.  Thank you all for your prayers through the time of transition.  We hope to be involved in church planting once we have studied Spanish, culture, and how NTM works in Mexico.

As for now, I am working on partnership development.  Partnership development is basically building up a support team, or a group of people that want to be involved in reaching people in Mexico, through supporting missionaries there. Often when people hear support they automatically think finances, and though this is a big part there are many other ways to support missionaries. A great book that mentions these different ways is Serving As Senders by Neal Pirolo. This book talks about ways to serve missionaries through moral support (encouragement), logistics support, financial support, prayer support, communication support, and re-entry support.
