The following is a prayer from Kibo – one of the Nakui believers from Papua New Guinea. Make it your prayer today.
“Oh, God, You are the One who made everything; everything we have, You have made. Each day – You made them. You made the ground, the sky and the ocean. You spoke Your Word and You made them all – they just arrived out of nowhere from Your spoken Word.
We people, too. Who of us can say that we arrived here on this ground by ourselves?
No. You made us. We are your people.
You made us and You left testimony of Yourself to us. You didn’t just leave us alone. You wanted us to know about You and now we are able to ask of You and talk to You.
We were wrapped up by sin’s vines and couldn’t get away; we were all going to die. But You cut the rope and freed us. You sent Jesus and He freed us so now we can live. We live, and Jesus calls us to follow Him, saying, ‘My road is like this.’
Now we know Your talk; You have given it to us in plain view. We now know Your talk and we need help to follow it. Please help us to follow You.”
