About
Along the way!
We started studying French in Albertville, France in September 2007. The school we attended there specialized in teaching French to missionaries. It was an intensive 10 month course which brought us to a point where we can function with basic communication in Africa.
In October 2008 we arrived in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, West Africa where we improved our French skills while immersing in the culture.
In December 2009, we moved again to join Lesley Wolfe in working among the Glaro people.
There are about 4000-5000 Glaro people living on the border of Ivory Coast and Liberia. Our co-worker, Lesley, is currently working on translating the Bible into the Glaro language. We have begun learning that language, and once we have reached a certain amount of fluency in it, we hope to begin teaching the Bible to the Glaro people.
